Founded and owned by Christian Nova, the studio was originally established in Oakland, California, and is currently being rebuilt as a new flagship location in Las Vegas.  Nova Tribe Studio is undergoing renovations during 2026 but Christian’s books are open for guest spots in Berlin and Las Vegas.

Nova Tribe Tattoo is More than a tattoo studio, The Collective serves as a creative sanctuary and the intersection of tattooing, contemporary art, music, philosophy, culture, and community. The collective hosts rotating guest artists from around the world and is home to resident apprentice @baelliens.tattoo.Books are now open for 2026–2027.Christian Nova ( Resident | Owner )Born in Seattle, Washington, Christian Nova developed a fascination with art, symbolism, and craftsmanship at an early age. At fourteen, he began casting bronze alongside his grandfather Tom, an accomplished metalworker, while living in the San Juan Islands. Those formative years instilled a lifelong appreciation for creating with his hands and laid the foundation for what would become an internationally recognized career in tattooing.Entirely self-taught, Christian immersed himself in tattoo culture as a teenager, spending countless hours drawing, studying traditional tattooing, and tattooing friends long before entering the professional industry. Over nearly two decades, his work evolved into a signature visual language recognized for its powerful balance of precision, symbolism, and bold composition.Today, Christian is internationally known for his distinctive approach to Blackwork, Sacred Geometry, Ornamental, Neo Tribal, and Geometric tattooing. His tattoos combine heavy black saturation with intricate dotwork, architectural precision, and organic flow, resulting in timeless large-scale compositions designed to move naturally with the body.His artistic influences draw from sacred geometry, fractal mathematics, Gothic and ancient architecture, indigenous symbolism, calligraphy, visionary art, psychedelic philosophy, occult traditions, tribal design, and the patterns found throughout nature. These diverse influences merge into a style that is unmistakably his own—one rooted equally in ancient symbolism and contemporary design.Throughout his career, Christian has worked alongside many respected artists and in acclaimed studios across the West Coast,Since 2018, Christian has worked exclusively in private studios, providing clients with a focused, appointment-only experience built around collaboration, comfort, and exceptional craftsmanship. Today, he continues that vision through Nova Tribe Collective in the new Las Vegas location, while regularly welcoming clients from across the United States and internationally.In addition to tattooing, Christian is dedicated to building creative platforms that support artists beyond the tattoo industry through podcasts, exhibitions, educational content, collaborative events, and emerging media.
